SARAH McTEIGUE

Sarah McTeigue was born and raised in Dublin, Ireland and after studying film she moved to Italy. In love with Italian cinema, she joined a moviola at Cinecittà starting out as an intern, followed by other jobs as second assistant, first assistant and then editor.

She worked on the HBO/BBC/Rai series “Rome” as an assistant and also as an adjunct editor. As assistant she has made films by Dario Argento, Luca Guadagnino, Paolo Sorrentino, Alessandro Baricco, Pappi Corsicato, Spike Lee and Gabriele Salvatores. As editor she was in Venice Film Festival with the movies by Paolo Zucca “L’Arbitro”, “Manuel” by Dario Albertini, “Nevia” by Nunzia De Stefano and “Una Relazione” by Stefano Sardo, and to Rome Film Festival with “L’Uomo che Comprò la Luna” by Paolo Zucca, “L’uomo Senza Gravità” by Marco Bonfanti, “Love is not known” by Marcello Di Noto. She made the documentaries “Eva” by Elettra Pierantoni presented in Taormina and “Nel Nome di Gerry Conlon”, by Lorenzo Moscia presented at Biografilm Festival. She edited the film “The Perfect Dinner” by Davide Minnella presented at Comicon, “Un Mondo Sotto Social” by Soldi Spicci, and “Wicked Conscience” by Davide Minnella. She has just finished working on “Those about to Die” a TV series by Roland Emmerich and started Francesco Fanuele’s film “Ma chi ti Conosce” with Antonio Folletto and Simona Tabasco.Sarah is a member of the board of the Film and Television Editing Association, and also on the board of the Irish Screen Editors. She is part of the European Film Academy and was on the jury of the Excellence Awards as a montage representative in 2022.
