EDGARDO PISTONE

Edgardo Pistone, born in 1990, was born and raised in Rione Traiano. A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples, despite his young age he already boasts a respectable career as a director and author, photographer and screenwriter. He was assistant director on Agostino Ferrente’s ‘Selfie’ (presented at the 69th Berlinale and winner of the David di Donatello for best documentary in 2019). In 2015, he made the short film ‘Per un’ora d’amore’, winner as Best Self-produced Short at the Napoli Film Festival. His latest short film ‘The Flies’ (2021) won the 35. SIC Settimana Internazionale della Critica, Italian Cinema short section.
